Environmental policy

Breathing life into the world’s biggest and boldest film festivals has always posed something of a financial and artistic challenge. Now that challenge has an environmental facet, too. The Festival has embraced this task, reinventing its trademarks and traditions while remaining ever faithful to its past and the rituals that have seen it become anchored in Cannes legend.

The aim is to rethink the way in which the Festival de Cannes takes place, drawing on a two-pronged approach to do so: tackling carbon emissions and waste by lowering both, offsetting the first, and recycling the second.
